Seabrook sits about two hours west of Seattle on the Pacific coast, just north of Ocean Shores. It's a planned community built to feel like a small New England town dropped into the Washington pines: front porches, narrow lanes, a village square, and the beach a short walk from nearly every front door. The Town Tour is the one time each year when many of those private homes are open for walkthroughs.

What the Tour Looks Like

The format is self-guided. You pick up a map, choose your route, and move at your own pace through a rotating selection of homes. Some are furnished showpieces; others are lived-in rentals that give you a real sense of what a week here actually feels like. The tour typically runs across several days so you're not racing through everything in an afternoon. What to Expect in October

The Washington coast in mid-October runs cool, usually in the low 50s during the day with a chance of rain. Pack layers and waterproof shoes. The beach is still worth walking, especially in the mornings when the tide is low and the sand stretches wide. Sunset comes earlier now, around 6:30 pm, and the evenings get cold fast.

The village shops and restaurants are open through the tour weekend. Seabrook has a handful of good spots for coffee and food within easy walking distance of the homes on the tour, so you can break up the day without driving anywhere.

Staying for the Tour

If you're coming from out of town, staying in Seabrook itself is the obvious choice. You can walk to every home on the tour, explore the village in the evenings, and get a real feel for what a rental stay here is like. Properties range from compact two-bedroom cottages to larger homes that sleep eight or more, most with covered porches and within a few blocks of the beach.

Booking early matters for October. The Town Tour draws visitors who plan ahead, and the best homes fill up weeks in advance. A midweek arrival (Monday or Tuesday) gives you the full run of the tour without the weekend rush.

Getting There

Seabrook is in Pacific Beach, WA, about 120 miles west of Seattle. The drive takes roughly two hours via US-12 West through Aberdeen, then north on SR-109. There's no public transit to speak of, so a car is the practical way to get there. Once you're in the village, you won't need it much.
